What it is
IYA Medical’s regenerative medicine program is built around Muse cells — multilineage-differentiating stress-enduring cells, a rare population of stress-tolerant regenerative cells first characterized in 2010. Muse cells are studied for their ability to circulate to areas of tissue damage and support the body’s own repair processes. What sets our program apart is who delivers it: every treatment is planned and performed by a board-certified interventional radiologist in an ACR-accredited facility, with image guidance used to place cells precisely where they are intended to go — not a med-spa injection.

Who it's for
Patients typically explore regenerative therapy for joint and musculoskeletal conditions, certain neurologic concerns, or as a complement to conventional care when standard options have been exhausted or declined. Regenerative medicine is not a fit for everyone — candidacy is determined at a physician consultation that includes a review of your history, imaging, and goals, and we will tell you honestly if we do not believe treatment is appropriate for your situation.

What to expect
Treatment begins with a consultation and a personalized plan, including the delivery route, cell quantity, and number of sessions. Administration is performed at our Scottsdale office as a same-day, outpatient visit. Depending on the route, local anesthesia and imaging guidance (ultrasound or fluoroscopy) are used for precise, comfortable delivery. Most visits take under two hours.

Recovery
Most patients resume normal daily activities the same or next day — direct joint placements may warrant a few days of reduced load on the treated area. Any response develops gradually over weeks to months, and individual results vary considerably. Follow-up visits track your progress against the goals set at your consultation.

Three delivery routes
We tailor the delivery route to the treatment goal. Direct placement injects cells into the target joint or tissue under image guidance for localized concerns. Intravenous (IV) infusion delivers cells systemically through a standard IV line. Intrathecal delivery places cells into the cerebrospinal fluid via image-guided lumbar puncture — a route few practices offer, performed here by an interventional radiologist who does image-guided spinal access daily. The right route — or combination — is determined at your consultation.

Transparent, cash-pay pricing
Regenerative therapies are not covered by insurance, so we are direct about cost: treatment typically starts around $10,000, with the final quote depending on the cell quantity your plan calls for and the complexity of delivery. You receive a written, all-inclusive quote at your consultation before any decision — no surprise billing, and no pressure.
Stem cell and regenerative therapies, including Muse cell therapy, are not approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition. Individual results vary, and no outcome is guaranteed. A physician consultation is required to determine whether you are a candidate.
